We’re revamping this page to highlight the projects we have in development:
A public art project combining augmented reality, motion sensors, spatial speakers, real-time data collection, blue-tooth mesh networks and actual bricks to experiment with models of community ownership of stories, communication and data. Features include: community story wiki, decentralized communication network, community-owned data and more. Check out STORYBRICK prototype 1.0.
LIBRARY OF OURSELVES
A collaboration with BeAnotherLab to create a city-wide community story archive of first person embodied narratives in Seattle.
HUMAN ART MACHINE PODCAST
What does it means to be human in a world of rapidly developing artificial intelligence, machine learning, and internet of things? In this podcast, we invite human experts to explore the top ten things that make us human (humor, love, grief, etc) then crowdsource an AI with experts and our listeners and engage it in a comparison, to insightful and often humorous results. Our pilot show will be about HUMOR. What is funny? Can a machine be witty?
CREATIVE EXCHANGE LAB
A public research, education and exhibition initiative facilitating investment in the intersection of public art+public interest technology with open-source, collectively-owned research. Summer 2018 we ran a pilot lab out of Pacific Science Center and other venues throughout Seattle.
